Ruth drew this picture for me yesterday.
She said it's her and I with crowns on our heads.

I've been thinking about that non-stop since she gave it to me.

Me, with a crown on my head.

And I've been asking myself if I truly see myself that way.
Like a princess.

Because really, that is what I am.

I am a daughter of God, the King of Kings.
I am a princess.

And I've had to spend some time in prayer confessing that I don't walk around and live and breathe in that reality.

So many times, I wear a dunce cap and call myself stupid, believing the lies of the enemy that I can't do what God has put in my heart to do.

Or, I pull a toboggan over my eyes and hide from the world, thinking I don't have much to offer it.

When we truly embrace who were are in Christ, and live in the victory He has given us,
there is no stopping what we can accomplish through Him.

When we stand tall and wear that crown that Jesus died to give us,
we can walk in total confidence and no shame.

We don't have to look to the right or to the left to see what everyone else is doing.

We can fully trust the One who is leading us.

He is a good Leader.

And we can stand, with our head held high, and use the voice that God has given us.

Because we know that that voice is unique and special.

So, let me encourage you ladies out there today -

go get your crown off the floor,

And put it securely on your head.

You are a princess!

A beautiful daughter of God.

And there is no stopping what you can do through Him!

You are unstoppable!

"The King's daughter is all glorious within;
Her clothing is interwoven with gold."
Psalm 45:13

  1. I needed this reminder today! Thank you so much for your insightful post!

  2. Thanks for sharing :)

  3. She is precious! It reminded me of my daughter drawing the manger scene and me asking her to explain it to me. Her mind went in the most beautiful places. It allowed me to let my mind go there hopes it will continuously sink to my heart! Love children and their simple thoughts.
