guest blog post and a giveaway!

I am so honored to be a guest blogger on one of my favorite blogs, annaleahart! Annalea is so creative and her love for God is really inspiring. Go check out the guest post when you have a chance! I did a tutorial for an easy to sew, super-cute toddler blanket! (and it's made with vintage bed linens, of course. :) )

And to make it all the more fun, I've decided to do a GIVEAWAY for the actual blanket that I made for the tutorial! Here's a few pictures:

To enter to win, all you have to do is leave me a comment telling me your favorite Valentine's Day memory!!

(If you want an extra entry, go check out my etsy shop and tell me what your favorite thing is... and if you are the giveaway winner, I'll give you 25% off that listing!)

And if you want one more entry, follow my blog! :) Help me get to 300 followers - I'm almost there!

I'll pick a winner via random.org on Sunday night at 9 pm. :)

********************************************************
Have a great Friday, everyone!!

  1. Beautiful blanket!

My favorite Valentines Day memory is from high school. I don't know if all schools did this, but you could order flowers (carnations) and they'd be delivered during the day. All throughout high school I never got one, til my Senior year when my boyfriend had one sent to me...I was so happy.

(we don't celebrate Valentines day, that's why my memory is from so long ago :)

  3. The blanket is beautiful, great job!
My favorite Valentine's memory is probably the most simple, I was working and my boyfriend had flowers sent to work, at a restaurant, that never happens. Then My boss comes out with a vase, that he had already dropped off, to make sure that the flowers wouldn't die before I got to work. For dinner he came to work all dressed up with chocolates, and a note saying that I wasn't working that night, and we were going out. He had arranged one of my co-workers to pick up my shift, and show up late, so that I could take the night off with him. We went to out favorite restaurant and had a fantastic evening. What more could I ask for, flowers, chocolate, dinner, and a night off of work ;)

  5. What a fantastic tutorial & beautiful blanket!

My favorite valentine's memory is one we've been repeating for the past 3 years! We go to a Colorado Eagles Hockey game. Crazy as it sounds it is so fun! You get a little something - one year it was a t-shirt I added to a quilt - & I get a rose. We have a great time, just my guy & I, a few thousand fans and a winning hockey team!

  6. What a beautiful blanket! It reminds me of my Great Grandma who loved yellow roses!

Some of my favorite valentine's day memories were from growing up and my mom making things special that morning. We drank out of goblets, ate on the pretty china, and other such things that made us feel very special.

  10. best Valentines was when my husband (then boyfriend) cooked me breakfast in our dorm at 5:30am before leaving for a weekend getaway with our school choir. Though he burnt nearly everything, it was the sweetest, most thoughtful thing someone had done for me in a while!

  13. That is a really cute tutorial! Thanks for sharing!
My favorite valentine's memory was when we were still at college and my (then) fiance, got my keys from my roomates, moved my car, all in an elaborate stunt to illuminate and beautiful (and slighly embarrassing LOL) HUGE sign he'd made for me exclaiming his love :)
We've been married nearly 11 years and he still pulls stunts like that occassionally :)

  15. Hello, Lora!
My favorite Valentine's memory is my from last year. My husband drove over an hour up to my parents' house where I was staying (as we had unfortunately gotten into an argument!) and put flowers in my pick up truck. He left me a card with the most thoughtful message in it, along with two tickets to see one of our favorite bands. He then turned around and drove back to our apartment and i didn't discover his little secret gift until I was getting in my truck to go to church. After finding his thoughtful gift, I drove back home to him! :)

  25. My favorite Valentines Memory is helping my children create valentines to give away at school. We would have glue and construction paper and glitter all over the dining room table. But it would be alot of fun and their smiles and laughter made my heart sing.
