When my in-laws came to visit for Thanksgiving, my father-in-law brought me a big ring of antique skeleton keys that he found a few months ago. They are amazing! I wanted to make some necklaces out of them, but I don't have any chains on hand right now. Early this morning, while I was lying in bed, in that half asleep/half awake state, I had an idea.

"Why don't I just crochet a chain?"

I just love it when God does that! He's always full of great ideas!!
And here's the finished product! I am so please with how it turned out. I can't wait to make more!
It always amazes me how the old and worn things can be turned into something striking and beautiful! Time and again, God uses this truth to speak into my heart to remind me that He can turn the hard times in my life into breathtaking beauty and victory!

Sunlight pouring through the window. Happy grin on my face! It's gonna be hard for me to sell this one! I love it so much. The perfect compliment to a basic white tshirt.

This vintage yarn is the most gorgeous shade of burnt orange. And I love this great vintage button closure...

This key has a number 6 on the back!

Don't you love the patina on the key? I love the way the light bounces off the shiny bits...

Just wanted to share with y'all my new creation! I also made another necklace that I adore, but that'll have to wait till another post.
If you want to see more photos and information about this necklace, here's the link to the listing on my shop. (It'd make a fabulous one-of-a-kind gift! And I would gift wrap it for free! :) )
Have a blessed day!
Lora
