bed and breakfast weekend

My hubby and I just got back a couple hours ago from our overnight at a bed and breakfast inn. It was wonderful!

Here's a few pictures of our room. It was called the "Blue Jay Room". There were lots of bird themed decorations in it. In fact, the whole inn, called Robin's Nest Bed and Breakfast, was bird-themed. Every room was named and decorated with a different bird. Our room had a pretty canopy bed and a clawfoot tub! I so enjoyed my bath last night. So relaxing!

We had a delicious steak dinner out last night in the nearby quaint town square and then coffee and hot chocolate (for me) at a coffee house afterwards. We then sat on a park bench that overlooked a fountain and prayed together for this new baby and the changes that will come with its arrival. It was a sweet time.
Our breakfast this morning at the inn was so good! Yummy french toast with pumpkin cream cheese filling! I love fall...
Then, we took a mid morning nap (lots of naps this weekend!) After we checked out, we went exploring around the area. We visited a beautiful cathedral/monastery called Belmont Abbey and listened to the monks sing - it was awesome. Here's a picture of one of the many stained glass windows. We finished our trip with antique shopping and a delicious lunch at a local cafe.

All in all, it was just what I needed! Now, I am ready to have this baby!

Have a blessed Sunday!
